Canada’s Census Report 2021
In today’s blog, we will look at what aspects are included in Canada’s Census report and the upcoming report for 2021.
After every five years, Statistics Canada publishes detailed data about immigration. The last census data on immigration was published in October 2017.
Each year, Statistics Canada gathers data from all Canadians to get a clearer picture of how Canadians live. For instance, how many people they live with, their income bracket, and what languages they speak, among other factors. These statistics are used by the government to better analyze the actual living conditions of Canadians to predict their needs better.
The new census data will describe the number of immigrants that reside in Canada, how many people they live with, where they are settled, and what is the native language they speak at home. This will help to mold the perspective for immigration initiatives in the future, such as the immigration levels plan. The statistics will be published in the last week of October.
