How To Improve Your CRS Score For Canada Express Entry System
Today, In this blog we are going to share with you how you can improve your CRS score for Canada’s Express System.
Your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score is crucial if you are willing to apply for Permanent Residency (PR) in Canada through Express Entry.
What is an Express Entry System?
It is an online based system that processes applications for skilled workers who are willing to immigrate to Canada. Candidates with the highest ranking score are warmly welcomed to apply for Canada’s permanent residency.
What is a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)?
A Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is a points-based system that is needed to identify the applicant’s eligibility for Express Entry Immigration used by the Government of Canada.
According to the rules and regulations, a higher CRS score will result in more chances of acceptance of the invitation to apply for Canadian immigration.
After creating a profile on the Express Entry system, points are allotted for several factors as per the information provided by the user.
How To Improve Your CRS Score?
To improve the CRS score for Canadian Immigration, here are some ideas on how you can improve them:
Apply Early
Age is considered one of the major factors needed in improving the score. The applicant will automatically receive 110 CRS points if they are between 20 to 29 of age. Points will automatically start to reduce if the applicant will be 30 or above.
Applying early will provide you with a vital advantage during this entire process.
Expertise In Language
Language tests work as the high point earners in the comprehensive ranking system. Your higher language score can give your CRS points a rapid rise. The applicants are examined based on four abilities: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
A separate Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) will be given to each ability. The candidates will be required to get CLB 4 to start gaining points. However, depending on the levels achieved gradually; one can earn healthy points between CLB 6 and CLB 9.
Proficiency In the French Language
The second most spoken language in Canada is French. There is a significant French-speaking majority in the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, and others.
Adding your skills of being proficient in French can let you gain up to 6 points in any second language you can speak.
Previous Work Experience
Having work experience of over 3 years outside Canada can get you additional points under the skill transferability point section, which will help improve your CRS score.
Educational Background
You can receive points for your highest degree, diploma, or certificate earned while staying in Canada or another country. The highest possible score for the educational qualification for the applicants with a doctoral or Ph.D. degree is 150 or (140 in case of applying jointly with your spouse or partner).
You will need an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) if you have studied from outside for the need of verification that your foreign credential is true and equal to the one in Canada.
