We’ve got some great news for you today! The IRCC has planned to speed up the application process with automation for Canadian work permit applicants. Learn more about it through this blog.
To simplify the work permit application process, Canada is taking some major steps. To speed up the process of post-graduation work permits (PGWPs) and work permit extensions, IRCC has announced that they will implement automation. This move is to address Canada’s heavy backlog of processing applications.
Automation: A Game-Changer for Applicants
The application process is expected to be revolutionized by the automated tools IRCC is introducing. The tool will manage all the clerical and repetitive tasks to sort applications and let officers focus on making final decisions and assessing applications.
Applications will be sorted according to the IRCC officer’s rules. These rules ensure that the applications align with legislative and regulatory criteria for the program. What’s more? The automated systems will direct files for further processing to the appropriate officers, considering their office capabilities and officer expertise.
Ensuring Fairness and Efficiency
The rejection of an application is only authorized by an IRCC officer and not by the automated tools. The system’s main function is to identify routine applications for fast processes. The automated tools will not refuse or even send recommendations for application refusal.
Note that all applications that aren’t automatically approved for eligibility will still be manually reviewed by an officer.
