IRCC will start accepting test results from the following list of four new English language tests on 10 August 2023.
- TOEFL iBT Test
- CAEL
- PTE Academic
- CELPIP General
Test results are required to portray the applicant’s capabilities in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Applicants must have a score equivalent to the Canadian Language Benchmark of at least 7 in all four language abilities on their CELPIP general tests.
Applicants must have a minimum score of 60 on their Pearson PTE Academic and CAEL test results.
Applicants need to have a minimum score of 83 on their Education Testing Service (ETS) TOEFL iBT test.
Students have to take these tests in person since the SDS wouldn’t accept online, remotely monitored tests from applicants.
