Canada aims for the growth of its economy and population by attracting highly skilled immigrants. They are in the process of building a workforce through various attractive immigration schemes. The goal is to have 1.5 million immigrants by the year 2025. Now there will be eight times the number of permanent residents welcome into the country each year. This is done so the graph should go up by 60% by 2025.
Canada has made various changes in immigration rules to fulfill these goals. The change also includes creating a new visa route for H-1B holders in the USA. The plan is to provide a digital nomad visa which allows students to work. This also allows them to set up new pathways to incentivize employers and work aligned with the government’s goals.
The scheme helps the companies to employ migrants without much hassle. This will ensure a smooth recruiting process for foreign workers by eliminating administrative burdens.
Moreover, Canada has also set up various reciprocal Youth Mobility agreements with many countries, which also include:
- The UK
- South Korea
- Spain
This has been done to improve relationships between these countries and increase immigration.
All of this entails that there are great opportunities for people to find work in Canada, especially when the government itself is making things more accessible to foreigners.
