The Australian Department of Home Affairs stated that they are streamlining their overall visa systems, which has led to considerable cutbacks in average visa processing times across various Australian visa categories.

Processing time for Student Visas
Please keep in mind that Student Visas are now processed in just 16 days, a noteworthy improvement from the 49 days it took at the beginning of this year 2023.

Processing time for Temporary Skilled Shortage 482
The Australian Department of Home Affairs also stated that The Temporary Skilled Shortage 482 visas are being processed within 21 days.

Processing time for Employer Sponsored Skilled program
Please keep in mind that this Sponsored Program is for healthcare and education, as well as the Working Holiday visa especially for applicants outside of Australia. It is now being processed within a single day. Also note that this expedited processing comes a year after reports stated major delays because of high volume of applications.

Processing time for Skilled Visas
The Australian Department of Home Affairs has also been processing permanent skilled visas inside seven months, which went down from 12 months in February 2023.
Boosting Tourism:
The Government of Australia is also concentrating on strengthening its international tourism industry. Their accelerated online and electronic visitor visa routes have led to a 140% increase in visitor visa holders in Australia, providing a significant increase to the tourism industry.
