This is noteworthy since there is a broad significance to the possible opportunities for Canadian immigrants who are potentially qualified. This was proven by Canada’s establishment of draws that are based on categories for Express Entry earlier this year.
Important Note: These “draws” are also known as “rounds of invitations”.
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) started to conduct a new Express Entry draw known as a category-based draw on June 28, 2023. These draws are expected to be carried out with the standard Express Entry draws. Through this, the IRCC plans to bring many skilled workers to Canada who can assist in filling labor market gaps and challenges faced in certain required industries.
IRCC will be using category-based Express Entry draws for 2023 that’ll prioritize candidates with the following:
- Proficiency in the French Language
- Work experience in the healthcare industry
- Work experience in STEM professions
- Work experience in the Trade Industry
- Work experience in the Transport Industry
- Experience working in Agriculture & Agri-Food occupations
