Today we bring you updates on the delays on certain Australian visas. So keep reading for all the details.
With the significant increase in skills assessment applications, authorities including the Australian Computer Society, Vetassess, and Trades Recognition Australia have issued warnings about delays.
Compared to last year, some skilled authorities are facing a whopping 80% increase in applications and are not able to meet their published processing guidelines.
Candidates who are mostly affected are those in need of a skill assessment for the following:
- Trade or professional occupation
- Skilled visa (189, 190, 489)
- Employer-sponsored visa (TSS, 186)
With backlogs piling up on these occupations, Vetassess recently announced a pause on some occupations. Recruitment drives that are underway to hire more workers are yet to cause any effect on processing times.
