IRCC Changes The Minimum CRS Score

According to latest reports, Canada has invited express entry candidates on 14 September for the Canadian Express Entry Program (CRS). The Comprehensive Ranking System has been decreased from 511 to 510.. It means that people scoring at least 510 marks were sent their invitation of eligibility to apply for permanent Canadian residency.

However, its score is still higher than other program draws. According to a report it has been confirmed that ministerial instructions were updated by the Immigrations, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently.

At the time of reporting, the minimum CRS cut off was 511 according to the report but surprisingly, online reports received ITA with the score of 510 at the same time

Meanwhile, Sean Fraser, Canadian Immigration Minister has stated about the exceeding limit of immigration goal for granting the allowance of permanent residency to more than 430,000 individuals in 2022. On 14 September, a sixth draw program was conducted where 3,250 invitations were issued to apply for Express Entry Visa. On 6 July this year, Canada resumed its all-program draws.

All the Express Entry Draws Programs have been paused for over 18 months starting from December, 2020 by IRCC. During this time, only the eligible applicants for permanent residency of Canada were invited to apply under the CEC OR Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

This Express Entry Program Draw included draw invitations that were issued to the eligible candidates by Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) & Federal Skilled Trades Program(FSTP).

In this draw invitations were issued to candidates from the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) and the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

Canadian Immigration Minister, SeanFraser stated that what they’re seeing now is a vast number of applications resulting in exceeding the processing capacity for the further time being. Up till the last draw held on 31 August, the number of candidates increased by 250 with every draw.
