The UK government made an announcement on 13 July 2023 stating that there will be an increase in immigration fees.
The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) will almost double with a rise from £624 to £1,035 for adults per year. IHS will increase from £470 to £776 per year will be increasing for Student, Child and Youth Mobility visa holders
There will be a 15% rise in the application fees for work and visit visas. At least 20% will increase for:
- Student visas
- Certificates of Sponsorship
- Indefinite Leave to Remain
- British citizenship
No changes have yet been implemented even though the plan for the increase has been announced. It’s still unclear when these changes would take place, but we can expect it to be from Autumn 2023.
If you’re planning to apply or are an UK sponsor, then it’s best you consider applying early before thr fee increase takes place.
