Australian police checks are mandatory for various Australian visa pathways, such as the Graduate visa subclass 485, Partner visa, Employer-Sponsored visa, and Skilled visa.
Moreover, you need to apply for an acceptable police check since immigration authorities only approve specific official police verification documents.
Here are a few helpful tips;
- Avoid googling ‘Australian police check’ and submit an application through the link at the top of the search results. This is because it will cost you extra and won’t be official.
- Avoid applying at your local police station, as it won’t be valid on a national level.
You are advised to go for the Australian Federal National Police Check, which will cost $42.
