According to a recent announcement by Karina Gould, the Minister of Social Development, seven new 10-day passport service centers have been opened across Canada.
Here’s a list of new Canadian passport 10-day service locations.
- Prince George, British Columbia
- Lac-Mégantic, Quebec
- Gaspé, Quebec
- Saint-Georges, Quebec
- Timmins, Ontario
- Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec
- Dryden , Ontario
The official press release also confirmed that delivery of passports is now back at pre-pandemic levels without any backlogs.
Moreover, Service Canada is looking to raise its delivery standard for most of the applications.
In addition to this, Service Canada is once again delivering almost every passport within 10 to 20 days. Interestingly, up to 98% of passports are being issued according to the service standards.
20 Service Canada Centers are now fully operational across the country, helping Canadians apply for and receive their passport by mail within 10 business days.
Needless to say, the new Passport Service locations allow Canadians to enjoy service nearer to their homes. Plus, it reduces wait times at passport offices significantly.
Canadians who need a passport in less than 10 business days have to visit a passport office offering express or urgent pick-up service.
