Recently the Western Australian Government has announced a series of changes to its immigration rules and regulations, especially targeting skilled migrants. Applicable from July 1, these modifications are part of the Western Australian State Nominated Migration Program (SNMP) and are intended to modernize the immigration process for skilled professionals.

One of the key highlights of these changes is the launch of an invitation ranking system. This system makes sure that both Overseas and Interstate candidates are considered on an equal basis, abolishing any favoritism.
Prioritizing Key Occupations for Western Australia’s Growth
The Western Australia Government recognizes the significance of certain professions that are pivotal to the state’s industrial sectors. As such, candidates with occupations that align with Western Australia’s industry requirements will be given priority during the invitation rounds, as per the Western Australia State nomination invitation ranking system.
Relaxed Employment Criteria for Construction Sector
In a bid to maximize the construction and building sector, the government has planned to cut down the employment requirements for invitees in this sector. This decision is based on the Western Australia State nomination Occupation lists.
Invitation Rounds Commencing Soon
For those individuals anxiously awaiting their chance, the invitation rounds for the year 2023-24 are set to kick off in August 2023. This also gives a golden chance for skilled migrants to make Western Australia their new home.
