International Students Can Now Temporarily Work More Than 20 Hours Per Week
Today’s blog will be briefly discussing the changes in work hours for international students in Canada.
Canada has allowed international students to work more than 20 hours, the temporary change is applicable until December 31, 2023.
International students are temporarily able to work more than 20 hours a week during their academic year.
The IRCC has announced recently that students would be allowed to work more than 20 hours per week between November 15, 2022, and December 31, 2023. This action is taken to support Canada’s labour shortage, notably in positions that are generally held by students such as retail, hospitality, and food services. Nevertheless, there are no limitations on the employment type.
This new measure will allow more than 500,000 international students to work more hours in Canada.
