Is Work After Graduation Possible for International Students?
A question that arises in every foreign student’s mind is “Can I Work After Graduation?” Well, in this blog, we’ll be answering this question, so stay tuned.
The United Kingdom is a desirable location for many university graduates to begin their careers. A significant number of international students look to either stay in the UK or relocate there after graduation each year.
If you are currently in the UK on a student visa and have just finished your university course, you might be able to start working there while your visa is still valid. This is contingent on a few conditions.
Following that, you might think about switching from a student visa to a graduate visa. You can work full-time in any job role in the UK with a Graduate visa, which is valid for two years if you have a qualifying UK Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and three years if you have a qualifying UK PhD. However, it does not count toward obtaining indefinite leave to remain (settlement) in the United Kingdom.
You could also change your visa from student to skilled worker. However, the business will require a sponsor license from the UK authorities as the employer must sponsor this visa. The salary, skill level, and proficiency in English are just a few of the eligibility requirements for this kind of visa. After five years, the Skilled Worker Visa may lead you to the grant of an indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
On the off chance that you have finished your college outside of the UK, you could be qualified for a High Potential Individual visa. Those who have earned a qualifying degree from a non-UK university within the past five years are eligible to apply for the High Potential Individual visa.
