Our brief update for today talks about Victoria’s Migration Program for 2022-23. Stay tuned to learn more about this program.
The Victorian government opened its 2022-23 migration program recently. Onshore and offshore applicants can submit their interest in Skilled occupations listed in the Department of Home Affairs (DoHA). They can submit either to Subclass 491 skilled work regional (provisional) visa or the Subclass 190 skilled nominated visa stream.
The state government stated that the Skilled Migration Program for 2022-23 is now open and that this program offers applicants who are overseas or living in Victoria a pathway to permanent residency in Victoria.
Furthermore, the government’s statement added that this program offers 2 visa pathways and that the skills of successful applicants would benefit Victoria’s employers and economy.
The government added that similar to the prior years, applicants must submit a Registration of Interest (ROI) followed by their selection on competitive merit to apply for visa nomination.
Before submitting an ROI, applicants must make sure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions, and ROIs will be evaluated until May 2023.
The government highlighted that the selection procedure was highly competitive, and in the 2021-22 program, more than 15,000 ROIs were submitted.
The Victorian government has also urged applicants not selected earlier to submit a fresh Registration of Interest for the 2022-23 program.
