Stricter Regulations Target Dependents and Switching Visas

The government introduced new regulations in January 2024, restricting international students from bringing family members to the UK unless certain conditions are met. This move targets institutions accused of exploiting student visas as a “backdoor to work in the UK.” Students are now also unable to switch visa categories before finishing their courses.
