Categories of Students Affected by the Cap

Cap Distribution Among Australian Educational Institutions

The cap allocates 145,000 spots for public universities, 30,000 for private universities and non-higher education institutions, and 95,000 for the vocational education sector, including TAFEs. This distribution ensures that the cap is proportionately applied across various educational sectors in Australia.

Australia’s new policy reflects its commitment to maintaining a balanced and high-quality educational environment while accommodating a significant number of international students.
