The Innovator Founder route became effective on 13 April 2023. It offers a flexible pathway to applicants and allows innovative entrepreneurs to come to the UK to launch their businesses. All you need to qualify for this visa category is a fresh, unique, innovative, and scalable business idea. Don’t forget that the eligibility criteria remain as strict as it was under the old Innovator route. Plus, your business idea must be endorsed by a government-appointed entity.
Innovator Founder visas have a validity of up to 3 years. Moreover, such visa holders can easily go for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK after the validity period ends.
Requirements For ILR
You have to fulfill many requirements to obtain ILR. For starters, you have to show everything you have achieved by executing your business plan that was highlighted in your previous application. Ensure to provide sufficient evidence demonstrating your business is currently active and trading, creating jobs for settled workers and earning an increasing annual gross revenue.
Coming to other UK visa routes, which lead to settlement, You are not supposed to have spent over 180 days in another country during a 12-month period in the 3 years you are staying in the UK for ILR. Furthermore, You must have enough proficiency in the English language and knowledge of life in the UK.
