Texas Governor Sends Buses Of Asylum Seekers To Chicago:

Recently, Texas Governor Greg Abbott sent a bus full of migrants to Chicago to protest what he refers to as President Biden’s ‘inaction at the border’.

The two buses which carried more than 60 refugees arrived at Chicago’s Union Station at night.

Since April, Abbott has sent more than 7,000 refugees to Democratic cities on the East Coast to put pressure on President Biden to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

In a statement, Abbott said Chicago will join Washington D.C. and New York City as a ‘drop-off location.’

Immigration Will Be The Main Driver For U.S. Population Growth By 2043:

According to the estimates in a new report by the Congressional Budget Office, immigration will be the major reason for U.S. population growth in two decades’ time.

Per the report, by 2043, deaths will exceed births in the United States, and immigration will make up for all of the country’s population growth.

The report anticipates that net immigration , which refers to the amount of immigrants entering a country compared to the amount of immigrants leaving the country, will increase from 950,000 over the period of next decade to around 1.1 million by 2052.
