Today’s Blog update will talk about UK & US airlines collaborating for free Coronavirus Tests.
As the United States is unrestricted to vaccinated European travelers after an 18-month travel ban, data reveals that British residents squandered no time while creating plans for their journey to the US.
Travelers from the United Kingdom encounter additional expenses for Covid19 testing before leaving for the US, on the second day coming back to the UK, and after arrival in the US for unvaccinated kids.
American and British Airways are working in partnership to make it easier for business travelers to move across the Atlantic Ocean without having to stress about Coronavirus testing.
From next year, business travelers reserving premium seats on American Airlines and British Airways via American Express Global Business Travel will be able to have the needed Coronavirus tests delivered straight to them before leaving.
Further American Express, Global Business Travel (GBT), and worldwide Coronavirus testing provider Qured, American Airlines, and British Airways will provide business travelers who book premium seats on flights between the United States and the United Kingdom with free Coronavirus tests.
Free Delivery Of Covid-19 Kits:
Global Business Travel will supply travelers with a promotional code after travel is ticketed to link premium clients with access to the complementary COVID-19 testing kits consented to by both the UK and US governments.
American and British passengers can then utilize the code to order from the Qured website, with the testing kits being delivered to the traveler’s location. Customers can take the test remotely via a supervised video call with an experienced health advisor.
The customer can download a “fit to fly” certificate if the test is negative, which can be displayed at the airport during check-in or uploaded through VeriFLY, an app operated by more than three million American Airlines and British Airways passengers.
Securing corporate travelers with a permit to efficient, proper testing is one of the significant components to boost business travel across the trans-Atlantic corridor.
British Head of Global Sales Mark Muren stated that they are keen to provide their mutual customers peace of mind and that they will have what they require to complete requirements as they return to running a business.
Road To Recovery:
The uptick in international trips is positive news for the hard-pressed travel industry, even though it is still distant from a complete recovery.
Some individuals are put off from traveling due to coronavirus testing prerequisites like the UK and the US. However, multiple European countries do not require completely vaccinated passengers to take a test after arrival from a country, such as France.
Travel industry leaders have called on governments to raise the Covid testing essential for vaccinated passengers. However, with the rising infection cases in Europe, testing might become usual.
Optimistically, airlines presenting free Coronavirus tests to all travelers will be a direction to bring people back in the air.
