Support for Education and Employment in Africa and the Middle East

New programs will be introduced to help Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon access education, improve skills, and find employment opportunities. This initiative aligns with the UK’s commitments at the UNHCR Global Refugee Forum to ensure refugee children can access education, thereby reducing marginalization and the risk of abuse.

Humanitarian Aid and Resilience Building

The funding package includes support for humanitarian aid in conflict-impacted regions like Sudan and Chad. Over 210,000 individuals in Sudan will receive essential supplies such as food, water, and shelter. Additionally, £2 million will support the IOM’s work in Libya, helping vulnerable migrants return to their home countries safely.
