The implementation of changes to sponsored worker and family visa routes was confirmed by the Home Office this week. The implementation dates are as follows:

- From March 11, 2024
- The care workers will not be allowed to accompany dependents to the UK. Moreover, the care providers who sponsor migrants must register with the Care Quality Commission.
- From April 4, 2024
- The minimum salary limit for skilled workers will jump to £38,700 (except for positions under the health and care worker route).
- The Immigration Salary List will replace the Shortage Occupation List. and employers will not be permitted to apply the 20% discount to the minimum salary requirement for roles on the Shortage Occupation List.
- From April 11, 2024
- The increment in salary levels will be applicable for family visas.
