THOUSANDS OF FEE WAIVER FORMS REJECTED BY THE HOME OFFICE

According to a reply to the freedom of information request, the UK Home Office has denied over 70% of applicants looking for a fee waiver for immigration applications in the year 2018.

The Home Office wrote that:

The scale of refusals varied between 70% to 92% throughout the previous five years.

The sum of refusals among immature applicants was likewise extreme. In the year 2018, over 65% of fee waiver applications for anyone aged 18 or younger were rejected.

Fee waivers: What are they?

If you are deprived and unable to come up with the money for to pay the fee for your immigration application, you can choose to apply for a fee waiver.

The United Kingdom Home Office would take into account a fee waiver if you are submitting a human rights application, which may well be on the basis of Article 8 private /family life. We will be uploading for information regarding this soon.

The United Kingdom Home Office will also process a fee waiver if you are submitting a different kind of immigration application, this is under the family migration rules, and a rejection or denial will violate your human rights. A fee waiver is also obtainable for sufferers of trafficking in specific conditions.

We will be uploading detailed information about the Home Office guidance on fee waivers soon.

Furthermore, you may also submit an application for a fee waiver of the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). If you are competent to pay the charges for submitting the human rights /immigration application, you may apply for a fee waiver for the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) only; if you are not able to provide either, you should think of applying for a fee waiver for both.

Please note that to be qualified for a fee waiver, you are required to demonstrate proof that you are needy, or that you will be on the breadline by submitting the application fee.
